Training at the MPI receives another award
Charlotte Rösch, trainee at the Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Biology of Ageing, will be honoured for her excellent achievements.
This year, the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) honours her as the best trainee in the state and nationwide in the training profession of animal keeper in the field of research and clinic. In addition, the MPI for Biology of Ageing is once again one of the best training companies in NRW and also one of the best in Germany due to its outstanding performance in vocational training.
"We are totally happy for Charlotte! She truly deserves the award for her outstanding achievements," says Dr. Bettina Bertalan, Head of Comparative Biology, which is responsible for the training of animal keepers. "In particular, being honoured as the best trainee in Germany is something very special! Charlotte can be proud of herself."
Last year, the team from the animal husbandry department at the MPI for Biology of Ageing was already able to celebrate. In 2019, the trainee Rita Bork received the award as the best trainee in the state for her outstanding achievements, also in the training profession of animal keeper in the field of research and clinic.

By honouring the best trainees and the MPI for Biology of Ageing as one of the best training companies, IHK once again rewards the work and efforts of the trainees and instructors.
The MPI for Biology of Ageing trains in the training professions animal keepers in clinic and research and office management assistants. For the second year in a row, the MPI for Biology of Ageing is one of the best training companies in NRW and this year for the first time also one of the best in Germany. In the previous years, the Institute has already been awarded the Max Planck Society's Trainers' Prize twice for outstanding achievements in vocational training. A seven-member team in the animal husbandry sector looks after one to three trainees per year of training.
