Linda Partridge on the "Global Highly Cited Researchers" list

Clarivate Analytics publishes annual list

Max Planck Director Professor Dame Linda Partridge is included on Clarivate Analytics' annual Global Highly Cited Researchers list. The list contains a "Who's Who" of influential researchers. Her publications rank among the top 1% of citations in the Web of Science™ citation index by field and publication year.

“I am very honoured to be included on this list.”, says Linda Partridge. “This is the achievement of the students, Postdocs and collaborators with whom I have been most fortunate to work, and without whom this wouldn’t have been possible”.

Linda Partridge’s research focuses on evolutionary conserved mechanisms that control the ageing process. She has a special interest on the role of nutrient-sensing pathways, the influence of nutrition and especially dietary restriction on ageing and neurodegenerative disease such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease. The aim is to improve health in old age, for example through changes in diet or genetic or pharmacological approaches.

Partridge is the recipient of numerous awards, was honoured with a Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (DBE) for Services to Science in 2009 and is a Fellow of the Royal Society. She is the founding director of the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing and the Biological Secretary of the Royal Society.
