About Dr. Ferrucci's talk:
Aging has traditionally been viewed as a relatively uniform process characterized by the progressive accumulation of damage over time. Emerging evidence, however, suggests that aging reflects the divergence of individual biological trajectories early in life, followed by convergence toward frailty and functional decline. Precision Geroscience aims to characterize, predict, and ultimately modify these individualized aging trajectories. Conclusions: Precision Geroscience seeks to transform aging research and clinical practice by integrating individualized trajectories, systemic energetics, resilience, and temporally informed biomarker assessment. This framework offers a path toward more accurate prediction of aging outcomes and more targeted interventions to preserve healthspan and functional capacity. This event is aimed at a specialist audience.
