- Host: Mafalda Escobar (CECAD)
About Dr. Werner's talk:
"My lab studies the molecular principles that determine cell-fate decisions during development, focusing on ubiquitylation, an essential posttranslational modification that governs cell division, differentiation, and migration. We integrate expertise in human pluripotent stem cell culture, proteomics, and ubiquitin biochemistry with animal models, clinical genetics, and human disease cohorts to uncover how disruptions in ubiquitin signaling drive disease. In this seminar, I will highlight interconnected research directions that demonstrate how genotype-first approaches have revealed previously undiagnosed neurodevelopmental and autoinflammatory disorders and uncovered new principles by which ubiquitylation orchestrates neuroectodermal and hematopoietic cell-fate decisions."This event is aimed at a specialist audience.
