Reduce Your Lab's Footprint—Without Compromising Your Science

Sustainability in the lab has a reputation problem. Most of us associate it with changing protocols, marketing claims, or a poster in the corridor telling us to switch off the lights.

But the fact that you can save >60% of plastic waste even in a BSL-2 environment, and even without fundamentally changing workflows, is rarely mentioned.

Driving change safely and efficiently is possible; several publications and case studies show that.

But the harder question is how to get there. In this talk, Patrick Penndorf, a former scientist and now sustainability communicator, will show how to test and introduce changes safely, without disrupting ongoing work, validated procedures or the science itself - reaching from plastic to HPLC and Flow Cytometry.
Therefore, keep your own protocols in mind. You will likely spot a few opportunities before the talk is over.
