Open Day 2025
An unforgettable insight into the world of science with 650 visitors
At this year's Open House, the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing, together with the CECAD Centre of Excellence in Ageing Research and the Max Planck Institute for Metabolism Research, once again opened its doors to offer the public a fascinating insight into the world of science. With around 650 visitors, the event was a resounding success and demonstrated the great public interest in research.

Guests had the opportunity to take part in exciting laboratory tours and explore the institute's state-of-the-art facilities. Scientists were on hand to explain their work and initiate visitors into the secrets of research.
The interactive experiment stations, where visitors could get hands-on, were particularly popular. Under the guidance of researchers, they were able to conduct experiments and learn more about the mechanisms of ageing and metabolism.
In addition to practical insights, the event also offered a series of informative lectures highlighting various aspects of ageing and metabolism research. These ranged from the basics to the latest research findings.
The open day was not only an opportunity for the public to discover the exciting world of science, but also a valuable exchange between researchers and interested citizens.
We look forward to organising similar events in the future and continuing to promote interest in science.
