Our core facilities are a hallmark of our institute. They offer all researchers the opportunity to pursue their research questions with the latest techniques and state-of-the-art methods. Their excellently trained staff members support the successful execution of research with their expert knowledge.

Bioinformatics

Sate-of-the-art computational biology tools for the successful execution of research.

Comparative Biology

We take care of the housing for the laboratory mice needed at the institute. We support the scientific working groups in breeding and keeping the required mouse models and offer intensive consulatation, personnel support and instruction.

CRISPR Screening

Functional genomic screening platform using CRISPR-Cas9.

FACS & Imaging

The facility provides cytometers and cell sorters, light microscopes, and histology equipment.

Fish Facility

We take care of the housing for the naturally short-lived Turquoise killifish (Nothobranchius furzeri). We offer the full breadth of necessary services, starting from support in planning killifish experiments, to generating transgenic lines and assessing phenotypic outcomes.

Metabolomics

The facility offers metabolomics-centered services, including the qualitative and/or quantitative analysis of a broad range of metabolites from the central carbon and energy metabolism, next to comprehensive lipidomic measurements. Additionally, we offer support for custom-designed metabolomics projects.
