Established in 2008 the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing is growing fast. Together with our partner organizations in the Cologne/Bonn area we pursue our research at the forefront of basic biomedical science and are about to become one of the world’s leading ageing research hubs.

Are you an undergraduate student? Become part of our unique undergraduate internship program! Thinking about pursuing your Master studies in Cologne? Apply to our Master Fellowship program and be mentored by a PI of our ageing research community. Are you interested in doing a PhD in one of our groups? Then check out the structured doctoral training of the Cologne Graduate School of Ageing Research! Postdoc and group leader positions are advertised on a regular basis and are supported by representation committees and an interdisciplinary mentoring network (contact our PhD and Postdoc committee via Email).

You are not a scientist but would like to work in a vibrant and fascinating environment? We offer apprenticeships as office management assistants and animal keepers for clinic and research. More academic and non-academic job offers are regularly posted: please take a look at our open positions!

We do not have an open position for your career level at the moment or the application call of the program you wish to apply for is currently closed? Maybe you are interested in doing an internship or a lab rotation in one of our groups? We are always looking for excellent junior and senior scientists motivated in joining our international research community!
