CGA Graduate Symposium 2025
Celebrating our class of 2021 at the 13th CGA Graduate Symposium
The 13th Cologne Graduate School of Aging Research (CGA) Graduate Symposium, held on June 12th at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing, was a dynamic celebration of scientific achievement, community, and inspiration. Thirteen graduating PhD students from the CGA Class of 2021 captivated the audience with impressive presentations, highlighting four years of dedication in different fields of aging research.

They were joined by keynote speakers Meng Wang (HHMI, USA), Mario de Bono (IST Austria), and Magdalena Götz (LMU, Germany), who enriched the day with cutting-edge insights and visionary perspectives. The event concluded with a heartfelt graduation ceremony, honoring the academic journey and contributions of our students. A festive dinner in Cologne’s beautiful summer evening wrapped up the day, with laughter, presents, and memories shared among students, faculty, alumni, and guests.
Thank you to all who made this event memorable, especially the CGA Class of 2022, who did a brilliant job organizing the symposium. We look forward to seeing you take the stage next year!
