Kölner KinderUni

The events of the KölnerKinderUni are aimed at children from third to sixth grade. We offer a workshop on "What do the cells in my body look like?"

We are offering a workshop in our modern research building as part of the KölnerKinderUni. It's all about the topic:

"What do the cells in my body look like?"

During the workshop, the children can examine their own cells from the oral cavity under the microscope and compare them with plant cells, as well as look at different tissues and their cell types under the microscope. They can also pick up a pipette themselves and experience what it feels like to be a researcher.

The workshop is accompanied and co-organised by the laboratories of Ron Jachimowicz, Ina Huppertz and Stephanie Panier and their staff.

  • Suitable for children from 8 to 12 years
  • Monday, 11 March, 4:00 to 6:00 pm & Tuesday, 12 March, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
  • Group size: up to 12 children
  • Workshop will be held in German

How do I register my children?

Please register your children via the following link: https://events.gwdg.de/event/515/
When registering, please indicate which day(s) your child could attend. If you would like to register more than one child, please complete the form more than once. We will draw lots for the places among the registered children by 22 February.

Here are a few impressions from the last few years:
